Afford Your Dream Dress

National Bridal Sale Survival Guide: 10 Tips for the Savvy Shopper

Savvy Bridal, along with many other bridal salons in the city, will be offering gowns for as low as $199 during the National Bridal Sale, Saturday, July 15.  For you brides brave enough to battle for the dress of your dreams, we’ve put together 10 tips to get you through the day. With our help, you will afford your dream dress Saturday.

Tip #1: The Early Bride Gets the Dress

The Savvy Sample Sale starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm, but feel free to show up as early as you want! Everything for sale will be first come, first served, so come early for the best selection!

Tip #2: The Price Is Right

The gowns we will have for sale range from $199 to $999. The prices of the gowns do not include alterations, and the gowns are sold as is. There will not be any exchanges or returns available.

Tip #3: Say “Yes!” to the Sample

Our sale samples will be the only gowns available for purchase. We will not be adding any more gowns to the sale throughout the day, so be sure to come early to see the best and biggest selection!

Tip #4: Don’t Be Afraid of Commitment

Commit to your dream dress! Because our inventory will only consist of sale samples, we will not be able to hold any gowns the day of the sale. When you find a dress you love and can see yourself wearing it for your big day, say “yes!” Trust your instincts–when you’ve found it, you’ve found it!

Tip #5: 3 is a Crowd Limit Your Entourage to 1 or 2

Space is limited, so only 1 or 2 key decision makers/guests per bride is ideal. Be sure to bring the 2 most important people with you to help you decide which gown to wear on your big day!

Tip #6: Be Savvy: Ask Questions

Team Savvy will be available for questions in the bridal closet and near the fitting rooms. We will also have a seamstress available for questions during the first half of the day. Don’t be afraid to ask anything! No question is a silly question!

Tip #7: Keep An Open Mind: Not All Dresses Are What They Seem

Although you might have an idea of the style of gown you want for your big day, don’t be scared if you fall in love with a completely different style! If you feel beautiful and can see yourself getting married in the gown, then it’s your gown!

Tip #8: What Not To Wear

Try some dresses and know your size before coming to Savvy. In order for the day to run smoothly, please go to one or two other bridal appointments before the sale to find out what size you are in bridal gowns. Bridal sizing is smaller than street sizing.

Tip #9: Keep Calm and Just Try It On

Even if you come in knowing what size you are in bridal, all gowns do fit differently. Be sure to try on everything you like, even if you think you know your size. Each bridal designer makes their dresses a little differently, so you never know how a gown is going to fit until you try it on.

Tip #10: Stay Savvy!

The most important thing to remember during the Savvy Sample Sale is that today is your day! Team Savvy is here to make you feel and look gorgeous on your big day! Don’t be afraid to look and feel like the fabulous queen you are!
