Shaped by Love, Guided by Passion: A Founder’s Journey
Imene McCoy’s story is one of love, resilience, and passion—a journey that began in North Africa and grew into a life devoted to celebrating love stories.
At the young age of five, Imene’s family moved to London, where her hardworking mom taught her the value of determination and perseverance. Her mother gave her everything she could, while never hiding the effort it took.
These lessons, paired with a love of old romantic movies, planted the seeds of a life dedicated to creating joy for others. Imene spent hours imagining herself in grand love stories, dreaming of the day she’d walk down the aisle and build a life of love and meaning.

Built to Last
Got Married: the beginning of everything new
At 18, Imene moved to the United States, settling in Kansas City, where she met and married her best friend and soulmate, Tim McCoy. Together, they’ve built a life of love and adventure, raising their children and traveling to explore beaches, cultures and cuisines. Their partnership inspires Imene’s work, rooted in love and trust.
From Dreamer to Bridal Visionary
While she always dreamed of being a wife and mother, she never imagined owning a business. Inspired and supported by her husband and his entrepreneurship journey, Tim and Imene spent their first wedding anniversary in a hotel on the Lake of the Ozark’s, ordering room service and building a website. Within 6 weeks of having the idea, Savvy Bridal Boutique was born.
Lawrence, KC, St. Louis, oh my!
With a year of running a dedicated Off The Rack Bridal Shop in Lawrence, KS, branded Simply Savvy, the decision was made to close doors in Kansas and double down in Missouri.
6 months after the Simply window closed, Savvy Bridal STL was born on Lafayette Square.
STL Gets an Upgrade & Fort Lauderdale is born
Imene’s meticulous care in the home translates into the welcoming, tidy atmosphere of every Savvy Bridal location. Brides often comment on how our boutiques feel warm and special, a direct reflection of her values. This was the year of growth with STL moving to Central West End in St. Louis and the first location in Florida broke ground.
