An Easter Proposal Surrounded by Family
When Mikayla and Justice gathered for Justice’s family Easter party, she had no idea that her life was about to change forever.
While the kids were busy hunting for Easter eggs, Mikayla was handed an Easter basket that—curiously—didn’t have any eggs in it yet. That’s when Justice’s nephew found a very large egg and insisted Mikayla have it.
Inside the egg?
A ring box. 💍
Justice took the ring box, got down on one knee, and proposed to Mikayla in front of his family—turning a sweet holiday gathering into a moment they would never forget.
“It was such a special, unexpected moment,” Mikayla shared. “Being surrounded by family made it even more meaningful.”

A Romantic Wedding Day Inspired by Love
From the start, Mikayla and Justice envisioned a wedding day that felt romantic, personal, and reflective of the life they’ve built together.
The color palette?
An array of purples—ranging from soft lilacs to rich burgundies—chosen especially because purple is Justice’s favorite color. The result was a romantic, elevated aesthetic that felt timeless yet unique.
But what truly made the day unforgettable were the personal details woven throughout the celebration.

Mikayla and Justice didn’t just plan a wedding—they told their story.

- Honoring their two kitties, whom they adopted together and absolutely adore, with giant head cutouts and custom painted cake plates
- A choreographed first dance, inspired by Mikayla’s background as a dancer
- Mexican food for dinner—a nod to their favorite date nights together
- A personal wedding cake baked by the same bakery they frequent for dates
- A caricaturist, inspired by a caricature they had done together early in their relationship
Each element reflected not just tradition, but intention—a hallmark of a truly Savvy wedding.
Two Moments She’ll Treasure Forever
When asked about her most special memories from the big day, SavvyBride Mikayla couldn’t choose just one.
Her first favorite moment was the choreographed dance.
“I was a dancer as a kid, so getting to do a dance with my husband was incredibly special,” she shared. “It was exciting, meaningful, and so much fun learning it together.”
Her second favorite moment was quieter—but just as powerful.
“After the ceremony, we went to a different area and had complete alone time with our ‘his and hers’ drinks. We just soaked in the fact that we were officially married.”
Those private moments—just the two of them—became memories she’ll carry forever.

“I wanted to embrace a romantic look while having my dress drape across my body,” she said.
