How to Prepare for Your Savvy Bridal Appointment
Congratulations! Your bridal appointment is an exciting step in your wedding journey, and we want to make sure you have the best experience possible. To help you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to say “yes” to the dress, we’ve put together a guide with everything you need to know before you arrive.
Before Your Appointment
1. Book Your Appointment in Advance
Our boutiques are by appointment only, and spots fill up quickly—especially on weekends! We recommend booking:
- Weekday appointments: Book 1-2 weeks
- Saturday appointments: Book 2-3 weeks (these fill up fast!)
2. Confirm Your Appointment
You’ll receive a text and email to confirm your appointment. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
3. Know Our Cancellation Policy
While your appointment is completely free, we do require a credit card on file. Brides who no-show or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged a $60 cancellation fee.
What to Bring
1. Undergarments Matter – For the best experience, we recommend wearing nude-colored undergarments. Many dresses have sheer bodices, and you’ll want to feel confident in what you’re trying on. Shapewear is optional but can help with fit.
2. Skip the Spray Tan – To keep our dresses in pristine condition, we ask that you avoid spray tanning 24-48 hours before your appointment. No bride wants to see tan stains on their dream dress!
3. Bring Key Decision-Makers – Choosing a dress is a special moment! While we love a supportive entourage, big groups bring big opinions. We recommend bringing only your closest friends and family—the ones who will uplift you and help you make the best decision.
- Kansas City & Fort Lauderdale: You + 8 guests (total 9 people)
- Saint Louis: You + 6 guests (total 7 people)

4. Bring Any Special Accessories – If you already have heirloom jewelry, a veil, or shoes you know you’ll wear on your big day, bring them along! This will help you get a complete picture of how your dress will look.
5. Inspiration Photos Are Always Welcome – Have a Pinterest board full of dream dresses? Bring your inspiration photos! It helps our stylists understand your vision.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
1. Arrive On Time
We dedicate 90 minutes to each bride. To respect all appointments, if you’re more than 15 minutes late, we’ll have to mark you as a no-show. Please allow extra time for parking.
2. No Food or Drinks, But… Champagne is on Us!
To protect our gowns, we ask that you do not bring food or drinks into the boutique. But don’t worry—when you say “YES!” to your dress, we’ll celebrate with a complimentary champagne toast!
3. You Won’t Be Trying on Dresses Naked!
While it may seem obvious, some brides don’t realize they’ll be assisted into each dress by a stylist. This is why wearing proper undergarments is so important. Our stylists are professionals and will ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
4. Tipping Your Stylist
While tipping is not required, if your stylist provides exceptional service, gratuity is always appreciated!
