Meet #SavvyBride, Shelby! She and her husband Michael celebrated a year of marriage in June of this year! The lovely couple were married at The Guild KC – a stunning 6,500 sq. ft. event space in the heart of downtown Kansas City, MO. The Guild is a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city with a distinct vintage interior, polished concrete floors, exposed brick walls, and a gorgeous salvaged 12-foot chandelier.

The Proposal
Each and every proposal is unique and truly special. Every couple has a unique engagement experience and proposals can happen in a variety of ways – in small intimate settings, or while surrounded by friends and family, or even in a new city or vacation spot.
Shelby and Michael were dog sledding in Banff, a resort town in the province of Alberta, Canada, when Michael popped the question! As the couple stopped on a frozen lake to take pictures, surrounded by the mountains, of course, Michael dropped down on one knee and proposed!

#SavvyBride Shelby thought she wanted an all-lace dress. She had found an all-lace dress during a previous shopping experience, but something just didn’t feel right to her about it. When Shelby came to Savvy and our Bridal Consultants fitted her in a Filipinas…she knew she had found her dream dress! This gorgeous wedding gown had the lace detailing that she loved, but with an added sophistication and elegance.
