3. The Larimore

Also known as the “Model Farm of Missouri,” The Larimore is one of the largest and most innovative farms in the Midwest. The house’s history dates back to 1850, when it was purchased as 2,000 acres of land. The home, finished in 1858, is adorned with 14 fireplaces and 12-foot ceilings.

Over a century later, in 1989, the Bovey family bought the Larimore House and restored it to its pristine state. The venue contains a chapel, a room to get ready for the wedding, a banquet center, a honeymoon suite, and a gazebo beautifully located amongst the garden grounds.

4. SqWires Annex & Front Room

With 18-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, and vintage wood and iron details, the SqWires Annex and Front Room live and breathe the 19th century with industrial-chic touches. 

This venue is conveniently located in the city’s historic LaFayette Square neighborhood in a Victorian-style building that used to be home to the former Western Wire Factory, a fabrication and manufacturing company. 9. The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis

Similar to the other St. Louis venues, this Cathedral has a rich history, dating back to its construction in 1907. In 1997, Pope John Paul ll officially designated it as the Cathedral Basilica.
